The oldest state park in California is now gone. People we know have already lost their houses. All I ask of a president is that - if he’s going to keep tweeting - he address a major crisis facing his citizens, rather than focusing on trying to stop people from voting.
I want a president who, if he or she is going to tweet, might appear to give a shit that someone I know now has a house that looks like this. Not stock photo. Actual house. Real people.

@realDonaldTrump
I just want a president who is able to care.

I went to a party in this house. I had to figure out where the toilet was, after a few beers. It’s gone now. I checked my kid was happy playing outside. I ate cheese from a counter that may now be some of the ash falling in my yard.
Whether it’s fires or COVID, the color of our skin or our gender, we need to feel someone cares. That we’re part of something, and that people have our back. On an individual level? Hell yes they do. But in the White House right now? No. He doesn’t.

That’s just not good enough.
