...alive and well in Mexico, but busy locking down their social feeds instead of answering questions, and blocking people who asked about the Kickstarter. The only life sign since then? Which he's totally selling to you, if you want it. All it took was $250k to fund it.

The moral of the story: Kickstarter is a funding platform with risks and there's little recourse or resolution when things go wrong.
PS: Note, that last Kickstarter page update from these guys was in 2019, so it's not a victim of the covid-19 delays that have hit many projects. I'm a pretty avid backer and MOST have come through.
