Tonight, I'm celebrating having paid off my private student loans

I've paid off $53,985.33 in student loans in 17 months (since April 2019)

How did I do it?

Read on... ⏬
For those who don't know:

I went to @GeorgiaTech, one of the best engineering schools in the world

But with high quality comes a high price, especially for those who were out-of-state like me

I'm now a software engineer for a major company in Atlanta, GA

⏬
So, I went to a great school and got a great job

But I had a bill to pay for all of that

After graduation, most people

- get a new car
- buy a house
- get married

What did I do?

⏬
I kept driving my 2013 Honda Civic

I got a mid-range apartment

I remained a cat dad

But most importantly?

I maintained a budget spreadsheet of EVERY transaction I made since I graduated

⏬
I took my salary and started paying off my loans

In 2019, I paid 43.3% of my NET INCOME towards loans

In 2020 so far, I've paid 77.5% of my NET INCOME towards loans

That's on top of

- bills
- fun money (food and alcohol)
- Improvement Geek investments

⏬
Also - the bottle of champagne I'm sipping on tonight?

It cost $12.99

Lesson in there

That right there tells you the story of how I paid off so much of my loans

I don't waste money, baby

I invest money, baby

⏬
Look, I'm like you

I'm chasing financial freedom

I made the best decision I could have since graduation

Now I challenge you to make a good decision right now:

⏬
Start prioritizing your financial goals

Start paying attention to what you spend money on

Start keeping a spreadsheet budget of your finances

You can become financially free like I will be soon!

⏬
How about this, my friend?

I will SEND you the spreadsheet I've used for my finances

Do you want it?

Then sign up for my newsletter: http://bit.ly/goalsig

If you sign up, I will personally email you the spreadsheet I've used for the past 2 years TONIGHT

LET'S GO 💪🧠
Oh by the way

For all you who hate on college and the 9 to 5

My path enabled me pay off almost $54k of loans in 17 months

Tell me again how college and the 9 to 5 is a bad thing?

I've made some good decisions - you can too

If not, I'll be here sipping my champagne, baby 💋
