Why @Stationhead?
(A Thread - Please Read)

We here at Neon Twilight are a new kind of radio show hosted on the wonderful @Stationhead app. “Why is that,” you might ask? We have several answers for you, and we love them.
1. @Stationhead isn’t technically a “radio host.” Meaning the app itself does not broadcast the music you hear.
When you log into the app, you are required to sign into your preferred streaming platform.
“Why?”
Because @Stationhead doesn’t broadcast the songs we choose, it streams them from your device.
“Why is that important?”
Every listener that we have listening to any song at any point counts as a stream on the platform you signed in with.
To make more sense and put this into perspective, here is some math.
One night, we have 10 listeners in our show. We listen to only 10 songs. Yet together, we have added 100 streams to your favorite artist’s new songs.
Now imagine that with 100, 1,000, even 10,000 listeners... Wow! While we will take a while to get to these numbers, you are a part of the exponent. So join us on our next broadcast and show your favorite artists some love!
2. Our station is on 24/7. Because giving back to the artist is important, we want to make sure you are getting reimbursed for your music every step of the way. Streaming accounts for 80% of music industry revenue, but if you’re not getting streamed then you’re not counted.
Getting the song out for listeners is important, but keeping that song in peoples ears is what generates the revenue. Even though we broadcast at limited times, Neon Twilight has music playing for its listeners 24/7, and when someone tunes in at any time, that’s a stream.
3. The “Invite ON” ability. During radio shows, it is always fun to have a caller call in and chat for a few, or even better to have an artist on for an interview! @Stationhead makes this easy and streamlined.
Everyone has the ability to connect with us and chat with us, either through the comments section that we, the host, can see and respond to, or we can invite (or you can request) people to hop on and talk with us over voice chat, all from the convenience of the app.
4. Small but active community.
@Stationhead is a pretty new app with a small but growing user base. The app will be coming to Android in just a few short weeks, which will open up a whole new range of listeners.
But the community that exists is active, friendly, and all around supportive. In the short time we have been an avid participant of the app, we’ve made some amazing friendships, and we hope bringing you to the app will allow you to find the same thing.
As you can see, we’ve put a lot of thought into this, but now we want to hear your’s. What questions, comments, or concerns do you have?
Please let us know in the comments below!
