he’s arguing that Black men shouldn’t be “lumped in” with white men & dismissing structural power to position Black women as equals to Black men when, institutionally, they are not. misogynoir.
but the pushback is “men shouldn’t tell women what to do with [our] bodies” and “men shouldn’t be OB/GYNs” as if all men are cis. cissexism.
like, lol, women are not the only people with vaginas and not all women have vaginas, so maybe we shouldn’t name who should and should not have a specific job based solely on their genitals. ‘cause maybe biodeterminist logics aren’t actually liberatory?
