Denmark win Euro 92:

Denmark only qualified for Euro 1992 on a technicality after Yugoslavia were disqualified over warfare in their country.

Despite this, they went on to stun Europe and win the entire competition after defeating France, Netherlands and Germany.
Montipillier won Ligue 1 for the first time in their history in 2011-2012.

This was also the first time the club had even qualified for the Champions League.
South Korea make it to the World Cup Semi Finals in 2002:

This run was riddled with controversy as many believe that the referees were paid off (The tournament was hosted in Korea). One particular win over Italy is still considered one of the most suspect games in history.
Birmingham score in the last minute to win the 2011 Carling Cup final over heavy favourites Arsenal.
Greece defeat Portugal TWICE, France and Czech Republic to win Euro 2004 on their home soil.
Porto win the 2004 Champions League:

A season which put Mourinho on the map as a manager, Porto claimed the Portguese league title in 2004 and followed it up by shocking the world with a Champions League win, defeating Monaco in the final.
Atletico Madrid become the first team other than Barcelona or Real Madrid to win La Liga for 10 years in 2014:

The season came down to a 'winner takes all' shootout between Atletico and Barca, with a win or a draw enough for Atletico to take the title. The final score was 1-1.
Wolfsburg win their first ever Bundesliga title in 2009 during a period of Bayern Munich's dominance.
Wigan score a dramatic last minute winner to steal the 2013 FA Cup final away from Manchester City.

Wigan were relegated from the Premier League the same season.
Wales reach the Euro 2016 semi-final after providing doubters wrong and knocking out tournament favourites Belgium.

They were defeated by eventual winners Portugal but the run is considered the countries greatest footballing achievement.
Portsmouth win the 2008 FA Cup under Harry Redknapp.

They famously knocked out Premier League and Champions League winners Manchester United on their way to the final.
Leicester at 5000/1:

The greatest fairytale in football history. Leicester won the 2015/16 Premier League after narrowly avoiding relegation the year before. 5000/1 is the biggest payout on any individual sports bet in history.
