Here are a few ideas...
A - 'B' TEAM
Run it as an entirely separate team, picking a different pool of players and not basing the decisions for one team on what you do with the other. This seems a common way to go and it does give you two tickets in the raffle.

B - 'SHADOW' TEAM
For most of the season keep both teams exactly the same. Make the same transfers and captaincy decisions. At a key 50/50 moment later in the season diverge the teams, ensuring that one of them definitely gets the upside of that decision.

C - 'ALL IN' TEAM
Take a high risk, high reward approach with your second team - for example a block defence from a team you fancy to keep some clean sheets before the overhaul. If it works you will get ahead of the pack. If not focus on your main team.

D - 'CUP' TEAM
Credit to @PlanetFPLPod for this one. Hold back transfers until the cup starts and then use them to maximise your chances of progressing each week and winning the cash prize for the cup.

Which of these will be using for your second team?
Or let me know if you are doing something totally different.
