Threads are everywhere & I like them but many include helpful & evergreen content that is being limited to a very short life span. You did all the work for the thread, so why not just copy it to a blog post & hit publish so it's not lost 785 tweets down in your profile?

I'd bet the long-term usefulness of your helpful list or insight will outweigh the short term rush from likes rolling in. Why not play the short AND long game? If they liked your thread today, people will like it in article form next month & the next plus Google will too.

"But Kyle, I dont have a blog."
-Head to http://dev.to
-Boom. Blog.

"People prefer tweets"
-Some do but many dont have Twitter and even more don't follow you (sorry).

"What if no one reads my article?"
-What if it helps the one person that does?

Like I said earlier, I'm a fan of threads. There are so many with great content and resources but unless you're already quoting your ebook or planning to turn it into one then, in my opinion, your helpful tweet is not being utilized to its fullest extent.

I guess it boils down to share your wealth of knowledge on multiple platforms and mediums to maximize your reach and chances of helping others.

Alright, that's enough on that. Ironically this thread will not be found in article form. Or maybe it will be. Who knows?
