Washington has issued a letter to restore all UN sanctions on #Iran. The Trump administration will not allow the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism to have nuclear weapons.

America will not appease the regime in #Iran. The one-sided foolish nuclear deal never brought security to the Middle East. It is an enormous mistake not to extend this arms embargo. We have every capacity under UNSC Resolution 2231 to do this.

If US or UN sanctions are violated, we will do everything we can to enforce them. We withdrew from the JCPoA. UNSC Resolution 2231 is completely independent from the nuclear deal. Obama admin said themselves the U.S. can trigger the snapback mechanism.

UN sanctions on Iran will return within 31 days from now & the U.S. will vigorously impose them. The Security Council is very straightforward & the rules will lead to restoration of UN sanctions on #Iran within 31 days.

We have already gone after entities those who violate sanctions on Iran. We will again.

The JCPoA was a political agreement, not a treaty. Iran has been in non-compliance of the JCPoA. UNSC Resolution 2231 says a specific set of states can execute snapback. We will be imposing all UN sanctions on #Iran & we expect all other countries to do so, too.
