Jesus calls us "friends" (John 15:15).

Sit with that.

Do you relate to Him like He is, indeed, your friend? Or do you treat Him like an "acquaintance" instead?
To treat the Lord Jesus as a friend, we must believe Him.

"'Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness'—and he was called a friend of God." (James 2:23)
To treat the Lord Jesus as a friend, we must talk with Him.

"Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend." (Exod. 33:11)

When's the last time to spoke to Jesus as a man speaks to his friend?
To accept Jesus' friendship, let Him stick close to you.

"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." (Prov. 18:24)
To build a friendship with Jesus, don't become friendly with the world.

"You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."
(James 4:4)
What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
I'm praying that you and I would know the Lord not only as Savior and Lord but also as Friend.
