The stories of kids being failed by vouchers is especially heartbreaking. One said, "It seems a lot of times in EdChoice, if you're a minority student, if you're not a top-notch athlete, they're not going out of their way to help you as much." 3/6
The stories of transcript withholding were especially troubling. As is this: "Black students, who accounted for 62% of all CPS students, accounted for 35% of all voucher students." 4/6
All in all a thorough, compelling read that demands action from the Ohio General Assembly and Governor. In these tough economic times, why take hundreds of millions of scarce public dollars and subsidize tuition for students who never stepped foot in the public district? 5/6
