Every fire season the news cycle repeats the shocking news that ppl incarcerated are doing life saving work fighting fires while being paid close to nothing - but then moves on as if we can't do anything about this.

Here are a few things you can do ⬇️
Call Gov. Newsom 916-445-2841 & demand:
- #EmergencyReleasesNow, #ClemencyNow! 55+ deaths by COVID-19 in CA prisons is horrific. We need ppl home now!
- #StopICEtransfers! Gov must stop working w/ICE, handing immigrants who’ve completed their time to be caged again & deported
#ExposeYourDA for blocking emergency releases for people incarcerated during this public health crisis! Action happening now: http://bit.ly/exposeyourDA 
Demand that @GavinNewsom @CAcorrections evacuate everyone at CMF and Solano State Prison, where fires are dangerously close. Surrounding areas have already evacuated.
