Consider Dameon, who is gay and was forced into conversion therapy by a caseworker, and beaten and called an "abomination" by a foster parent.
Re'Gine had a terrible foster experience. Her brother had a gay foster parent who not only loved him - he also supported and loved Re'Gine.
Best interests of the child are meant to come 1st. That means including foster families who will affirm, not abuse, kids for who they are.
