I had the honour of working with 3 amazing disabled hip-hop artists @tonihickman, @georgetragic and @dasoultoucha on an hugely powerful song that tells the story of the film #RISINGPHOENIX and allows you to see the world through their eyes and ears. RT!
The first voice you hear is of @georgetragic - he was born with Cerebral Palsy and often uses the wrong muscles. But none of this affects his ferocious and powerful rapping style which hits you right from the top of the track..

..the next voice is the heart of the track @tonihickman - she’s battled through 2 brain aneurysms and a stroke and is partially paralysed. She delivers not only the soaring vocal chorus but also some of the most formidable and emotional rhymes in the track. Total power. More
..after the first chorus we hear the insane flow of Keith Jones aka @dasoultoucha - also a Cerebral Palsy sufferer Keith has a rapping style that is unlike anything else I have ever heard. His addition to the song is total unique magic. Love it.
..we all worked on the track together from across the world over phone calls and internet with no idea how it would turn out. None of the three had ever worked together. Somehow we made something bigger than all of us. Proper magic.

..one of the key people to make this happen is Leroy Moore. Together with music supervisor Gary Welch we discovered Leroy who is an activist and champion for disabled hip hop under the moniker @kriphopnation. The #RISINGPHOENIX track would have never happened without his help..
Disabled voices are rarely seen or heard in the arts. I hope the amazing talents on this track go a small way to changing that..
