SRFT Pharmacy is proud bcos:

1. Before the COVID peak in March, the pharmacy teams split into two, providing an extended service, 13hrs a day, 7 days a week (and still do so). Most staff opted in straight away and the service was up & running in two weeks! #teamSalford

(cont.)
2. Pharmacy teams undertook an extensive training programme, increasing the number of critical care trained pharmacists from other clinical areas and enabling them to provide extra support when it was needed most. #teamSalford

(cont.)
3. Provided a number of ready-made infusions for critical care and rapidly set up a delivery service for patients in virtual clinics. #teamSalford

(cont.)
4. Responded to delays in Salford care home residents accessing end of life medicines by introducing a service where prescriptions are dispensed by the acute hospital team.
This achieved a NINE HOUR REDUCTION in waiting times (from 10 to one)!! #teamSalford

(cont.)
5. Transferred the renal transplant patients to homecare services within a few weeks – before COVID this would usually take months. #teamSalford

(cont.)
6. Brought in a twice weekly newsletter and live update for their staff working in the hospital/ off site/ at home, keeping the team connected. #teamSalford

(cont.)
And last but certainly not least...

7. They have had the BEST MED REC FIGURES EVER for the last 3 months!!

Huge well done to everyone in the pharmacy team. You are all awesome!
