€5 fine paid to charity for the use of "truely".

Jokes aside, this is one of the most impressive statements I've ever seen, if the goal was to fit as many falsehoods as possible into it.

A couple of her points require serious rebuttals though. https://twitter.com/TomLyonsBiz/status/1296432247176925186
1. "hoards of people on packed planes flying into the country from contaminated places".

Aside from fact this isn't true, and passenger numbers are at historic low levels with tumbleweed in Dublin Airport terminals, the last words of that sentence are repulsive and shameful.
Places aren't contaminated - they can't be - because people spread viruses.

The idea that Texas or Madrid were "contaminated" is dehumanizing language usually reserved for animals, and historically used to belittle the immigrants arriving from Ireland to US in the 19th century.
"how tightening restrictions furthermore denying the nation of rights and freedoms is the government's preferred choice over a proven effective test and trace system"

I know nothing about this girl but this is the rhetoric of the American far-right and is not based in reality.
Public health restrictions (social distancing, hand hygiene) have been countries responses all over the world.

I don't mean for Covid19, I mean for every epidemic for the last 300 years.

They did the exact same things we do today in the 1800's.

It's called 'common sense'.
For Covid19, Ireland have 1,400 contact tracers trained. 300 of them work at any given moment but I assume we have called more in lately.

The TTI (Test/Trace/Isolate) system in Ireland is world class, albeit structurally hampered by decades of under-resourcing Public Health.
In practice, we've a couple of thousand heroic medical scientists doing a workload of 10,000.

If there were endemic problems in TTI, there's no way we could have got on top of epidemic to the point we suppressed 14-day incidence to 3.0 per 100,000 in July - but we did do that.
The structural problems remain in place, and we're relying on the mental and physical stamina of a few thousand.

So this isn't about perfect, and it isn't to pretend everything is peachy, but we are blessed with awesome people who are staying the distance on it.
Her argument that test/trace is a singular measure other countries deploy, is absolute manure.

Every country reaches for conjunctive measures to supplement TTI.

Whether it's intermittent school closures (S. Korea) or local lockdowns (Germany), none of them rely solely on TTI.
Large house party clusters categorically played a sizable role in swelling of infection in Ireland in early July - much more so than non-existent "hoards of tourists".

Ask anybody working in Dublin Airport and they'll tell you it's been a ghost town in there since March.
Maybe she means well and worded the whole statement badly, as she tried to make some good points about DP.

But as a whole, it comes across as a highly ignorant and conceited statement, full of fact-free, dehumanizing language.

Sometimes it's better to say nothing.
