We’re hearing from the Dolphins offensive assistants today.

Up first, offensive coordinator Chan Gailey (thread)
Gailey says there's a QB rotation at practice and they try to mix different people (at different positions) in with the Qb rotation so they know how many plays they're getting with everybody.
Gailey says communication has been good not perfect first week here of practice. You have to listen in sequence. Each part of the call coincides with a different position guys are getting more comfortable as time goes on.
Follow up on the time it will take for the team to grasp the offense -- "I said we had a couple of issues with communication but that will be the easiest thing we get solved from now to the start of the season."
Gailey on Rosen: "There's really only X amount of plays in football. So what you're trying to do is teach him a new language and get him to speak it fluently. The thing is to have him put terminology from the past to the side and grasp the new terminology."
He says Tua has the same thing (as Rosen) with 3 different coordinators his last 3 years.
Gailey on size of OLmen -- "There are a bunch of 400 pound people that can't play football. Size is not the only factor in offensive line. The key is to get those guys using that strength and that weight doing the right things."
"Bigger is better only if it's better."
"Bigger is better only if it's better."
Gailey says Malcolm (Perry) has some good quickness and feel for the game. Says Perry's "played tag" growing up. He knows how to make guys miss, how to take advantage of getting them off balance. That helps him as a receiver, that feel for the game, how to move.
Gailey on Parker -- "He has great potential. Excellent hand eye coordination. Route running skills. Speed and size to make a difference. Especially when he's one on one he can be physical with guys."
Gailey on his offensive personnel. "You get excited about what guys can do, you don't fret about what they can't do. You take guys and put them in position to be successful. I think we have a set of guys that give me some excitement about what we might be able to do w/ this crew"
