If you were curious, the way to satisfy it is to go on Google or Google Scholar, or access your library’s digital database and look the info up. Not imply that the author doesn't know what she's talking about because you aren't aware of more history than your own little bubble.
And as for thinking critically, you do that by setting your own knowledge aside and looking for answers using research resources to educate yourself and develop a broader understanding of a topic you're obviously unfamiliar with you. But that's not why you slid into her mentions.
You jumped on her announcement thread b/c you wanted to show your superior knowledge & belittle a POC author—at the same time, putting her in her place. Too bad you chose the wrong one. B/c the only thing you accomplished was showing the world how problematic & ignorant you are.
