This week @Naz_Fitz introduced me to this - The Empowerment Dynamic for conscious leaders.

I think it has a lot of potential in moving us forward on leadership and avoiding the parent-child dynamic that’s become endemic (1/4)
The bottom 1/2 describes how when we find fault we go into parent child dynamic and persecute/chastise the wrong doer - or ‘rescue’ them with a hug, reassurance and over compensation. This pushes them and normalises the parent/child but also wrong doers as victims.
The top 1/2 proposes the ‘TED’ approach where we challenge the wrong doer to think differently about the issue or coach/mentor them into a different approach from the failure. This makes the wrong doer a creator and they learn, grow and feel trusted as a result. A better way?
(4/4)the TED method creates genuine empowerment (a tainted term). The bottom heightens drama, emotion and entrenched views and processes. There isn’t much creation here - only destruction and re-enforcement of power and position. Let’s all be a bit more TED @icsc_l @wavellroom
