Having never previously been terribly interested in politics, after the referendum I got a strong sense that things weren’t right any more, so I started reading books that I wouldn’t normally.

So here is what someone never previously interested in politics has read in the last year:
The scales have now fallen from my eyes. These are not 5G alien abduction conspiracy theory loons, everything in these books is carefully researched, corroborated and fact-checked in the finest tradition of investigative journalism. If only there were more journalists like this..
If you want to know where the Conservatives, sorry, the ERG Libertarians, are taking us then the only book you need to read is this one, as recently explained by many tweeps including @campbellclaret (note the author, yes, his dad)
So my advice is this: start becoming interested before it’s terminal, especially if you’re young.
