CEO pay exploded,
share buybacks exploded and everytime there’s a hiccup in markets, *all* attention is given to the almighty stock market to ensure its recovery while small business is dying awaiting a second round of PPP and the unemployed of decimated industries their UI.

I get it, if the stock market goes down it all goes down, but it can’t be the be all end all. We need societal balance. Buying back stock was illegal pre 1983, perhaps it should be illegal again. Too much money is being disproportionally funneled to execs/shareholders....
And not the employees that are also building that business. Our capitalist system is top heavy like the payout of a poker tournament when NL Holdem became popular. Even the lottery systems are the same. Why give 500mm to one ticket winner while 1 number less gets a few grand?
Everything we do as a society is out of balance. It is a systemic problem, but it’s not systemic racism, it’s govt and Fed policy that’s favored capital over labor for 2 decades since the tech bubble, it’s perverted capitalism.
