Some of our parents had the foresight as well as the capacity to buy their yards in zone 1 & 2. Others weren’t so fortunate or privileged. Many of our parents were 1st gen immigrants and trying to survive and give their kids a better foundation to excel in England than they had.
So when I see some of the language used to discuss and describe their parents for “lacking” and not taking advantage of the prices back then...I can’t help but feel irked.
A lot of OUR behaviours fucked over our parents BTW. Because us as the young gen were getting into fuck shit and in a bid to keep us safe and out of trouble, some of our parents moved many of us and the families away. Selling in zone 1/2 & leaving behind their potential fortunes.
