Steven Bannon told the FBI (in one of his earliest and least truthful interviews) that he didn't work with Papadopoulos at all on the al-Sisi meeting, that Flynn did all that.
Papadopoulos was telling the same lies he told to FBI to SSCI as late as June 2017 and ultimately never fully complied w/SSCI doc request.
I don't know why SSCI didn't just ask Chuck Ross to contact Mifsud's lawyer for them, since he has never had trouble getting Stephan Roh to return his calls.

Maybe Roh doesn't want to answer hard questions?
Even AFTER Papadopoulos told Stefan Halper he didn't meet any Russians, he was still engaged in voluminous correspondence with the women he once believed was Putin's niece.
Carter Page told George Papadopoulos to stop showing off.
SSCI thinks Papadopoulos might have been Skyping with someone in addition to Timofeev. Earlier the report mentioned Andrei Klimov, though the explanation why is probably redacted.
What percentage of the stuff Papadopoulos claimed he could not recall do you really think he could not recall?

In this case, names are really hard, so I sort of maybe believe it. But generally?
There's a passage IMMEDIATELY following the SSCI narrative about Papadopoulos learning that Russia was going to dump emails, that--based on the footnote--must describe Papadopoulos telling Clovis that.

Except SOMEONE redacted it, purportedly for NatSec reasons.
So why, after twice leaving this unredacted, did SOMEONE in the IC declare that it is classified?

Is it something more? Is it just THAT embarrassing?
