1. Just one of the flaws/gaps in the plans for Return To School - What happens if a parent cannot send their child to school because of having symptoms?
2. As things stand, if a child has symptoms and has to be kept off from school, a parent risks losing a day's pay. This will lead to parents taking chances and sending a child in even though they might not want to. Who can afford to lose a day (or more)'s pay?
3. Government must
1. introduce a scheme that ensures that parents do not lose out on pay in this situation
2. issue explicit instructions to all employers that workers cannot be discilpined for missing work in this circumstace
4. Government must also direct all employers that they must let an employee leave work immediately if they get a call from school that their child has developed possible symptoms.
