This account gained 16.5k followers in just 5 months with just 280 tweets. 26% of those followers have less than 5 followers. 14% of those follower accounts are less than 30 days old. This means, with 16.2k followers, 2268 new followers in 1 month who created a new account.

This are @NavinaHeyden's verified followers. Very high profile Chinese government accounts, Huawei Europe and several Editor in chiefs of leading Chinese state-affiliated media outlets and other high profile China-linked accounts. Why do they follow a german girl with 280 tweets?

@NavinaHeyden's husband, Ellias Yuming Feng. Chinese National. His father was in the PLA. Yuming was a researcher at GEOMAR in Kiel. A ghost since register 10 years ago, 4 posts 2014 and 1 in 2017, all science oriented. then vacuum. On 5.6.20 he started posting CCP propaganda.

Yuming Feng deleted his Twitter account on 17.8.20 following growing criticism from netizens. He also works no longer at GEOMAR since June 2020. There was a backlash of quationable posts he put on Facebook.

@NavinaHeyden's followers are mainly from not recognized locations, followed by China, US and Nigeria. About 9-10% of her followers are confirmed Chinese (1079 of her followers had any Chinese characters in her bio, and 1028 of them had a Chinese character in their name)

This is the account creation month of the follower accounts. Notice that she gets more followers from more recent accounts. This is highly unusual. Compelling evidence of freshly created bot accounts who follower her in big numbers.

This collected data gives overwhelming evidence that @NavinaHeyden is indeed a propaganda tool, a creation of the Chinese Communist Party giving the nature and data of her followers, supported by her PLA affiliated husband, very active in spreading Chinese Government propaganda.
