The IEA was begun by a millionaire Old Etonian called Antony Fisher who was convinced that the post war Labour party was part of a plot to turn the Uk into a communist dystopia. He made his fortune by smuggling eggs and introducing battery farming to the UK.
Fisher believed that "think tanks" could effect more change than boring old elected politicians and he was right. These unelected and unaccountable right wing organizations have had a deeply insidious and malignant impact on the Uk. Enjoy your morning sovereignty.
