The gay left aren’t sending their best. Re: “Trump argued for workplace discrimination against LGBTs 🥴” No, queens, here’s what happened: THREAD
A case was brought to the DOJ about a man being fired because he’s gay. The DOJ is a part of the Executive Branch of gov. As I’m sure all you lefty geniuses realize, the Executive Branch enforces laws. It doesn’t make laws or interpret laws, that’s the job of the other 2 branches
There is no written law that says you can’t be fired for being gay. That’s not Trump’s fault. Blame Congress, blame Obama. The law doesn’t exist. The DOJ saw the case and said, ‘there’s no law against this, Congress hasn’t passed a law, therefore this firing is LEGAL’
The case then went to the Supreme Court and Trump’s appointee Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote the majority opinion ruling that an old law, Title IX, should be interpreted as including sexual orientation in workplace discrimination, although it wasn’t written explicitly into that law.
For the braindead lefties in the cheap seats: this is the legal system in action. Both branches of government simply doing their jobs. The DOJ had no choice but to argue its case, because there was NO WRITTEN LAW for them to enforce. See how that works?
And the man was fired from a Catholic school. I personally believe the religious institution should have that right. But do you think for one second his life was worse because of the firing? He probably got 10,000 job offers and $1m in a goFundMe from it. So cry me a river.
