You won’t feel soo personally rejected if you take a little more time learning a person before deciding they’re It.

Plenty of people who’ve filled me with thrills and make me feel euphoric are absolutely incompatible with me for one reason or another

And it’s ok. Some people have an issue with my vices. I have an issue with (dating) religious people. I also don’t wanna date someone with a vastly different taste in music or movies. I hate cleaning & hate mess so I may create a mess of my own but won’t tolerate someone else’s

These are all things that matter to me and that I take time to learn before mentally and emotionally going all in on a person. And none of those things carry the heavy bit of personal rejection.

I think taking that time is the difference between being disappointed that a connection didn’t produce a different outcome & taking a huge hit to your self-esteem
