1/ There have been so many times over the past months that doctors like myself have been lambasted for speaking up in “politics”— if only you realized that *politics* is why we have failed to stop #covid19; why over 170k Americans are dead in this country.

2/ We have enough public health expertise, enough medical talent, enough $$, enough manufacturing capacity, enough great ideas to stop this epidemic; what we lack is the leadership to actually bring those moving parts together to create a real response. #DemocraticConvention
3/ Ultimately, for myself and other doctors who were on the frontlines; who took care of patients that couldn’t breathe; families that were destroyed within hours— literally— this is not about politicians, this is not about right v left; this is about real leadership & real lives
4/ There is only so much that can be accomplished when the ceiling is set by an incompetent federal government led by a demagogue who tweets in full capslocks & has dropped every single ball along the way on #covid19 response.
5/ I care about one thing— that is stopping #covid19 & helping get this country back on track.
And 8 months in, I am certain that the *most important* step toward making that happen is going to be through a change in our federal leadership.
