HOW TO VOTE THIS YEAR: we’ve gotten a lot of questions and confusion about voting in Ohio for 2020, amid the pandemic.
Here it is, spelled out.

Your FIRST option is EARLY VOTING, in-person at your local Board of Elections. You can do this BEGINNING OCTOBER 6th.
@FranklinCoBOE will convert this 28,000 sq. ft. warehouse at its offices into a socially-distanced early voting center (results may vary in your own county).

Your next option is ABSENTEE VOTING, otherwise known as MAIL-IN VOTING. They are the SAME THING.
Registered voters will get a ballot application in the mail in September. Fill it out, send it back; if your info is right & it’s approved, your ballot will be mailed October 6th.

You can mail your ABSENTEE/MAIL-IN BALLOT back to the local board of elections. It must be postmarked by November 2nd.
If you’d rather not, you can drop-off that ballot at a SECURE DROPBOX at the BOE. Each county will have only one location for this: the BOE office.

EVERY FORM OF VOTING requires ID. Mail-in/absentee requires a driver’s license number, last 4 of your SSN, and a signature which will be screened for accuracy.
Due to pandemic, EXPIRED DRIVER’S LICENSES WILL BE ACCEPTED, within reason. Don’t bring one in from 1998.
