The most charitable explanation here is @MoveOn was unaware of Sarsour's various problematic aspects that have nothing to do with Israel. But the Biden campaign is fully aware, and they were distancing themselves from those. Pretending this is about Israel avoids the real issues.

Many try to use Israel as their "get out of anti-Semitism free" card. On the right, it's "I'm super pro-Israel, so I can't be anti-Semitic!" On the left, it's "I'm super anti-Israel, but that's not anti-Semitic, so anything I say about Jews can't be anti-Semitic." Nope and nope!
