I mean dont listen to me but when you have a superhero show you can promote it in many different and insanly amazing ways and yet the supergirl show runners have proved themselves to be utterly incompetent when it comes to promoting their show and communicating with the fans.
Ways to fix this?

-Admit that you fucked up in s2/3. Communicate with your fan base. Take the time to clear the fucking air because if you think that its gonna magically go away you are gravely mistaken.

- Read up on your characters. Learn everything there is to know about them
Pick up a comic or two. Watch past shows and movies that features your characters. LEARN ABOUT THEM. Dont make the mistake of running a superhero show like you would run a regular one. Its not the same. The fan base is not gonna be the same either.

- Take the fandom feed back
Into consideration. We are not saying that you should listen to everyone and follow orders. No. Listen. Thats all that we are asking of you. Listen to other views. Make compelling stories for the audience that you have. Dont say things like we write the stories we want to write
We all saw how you introduced a slave owner and then gave him a suit and made him a fucking hero. The stories you want shouldn't exist if they look like that.

- Respect your cast enough to write the characters compelling stories. Respect them enough to give them the appropriate
Screen time. Not have them there for 5 seconds an episode where they barely get ten seconds of screen time and a line or two.

- Actually care about representation. Dont cast actors of colors or actors from the lgbt community only to sideline them. Dont create ships only to
Sideline them either.

I have a lot more shit to say regarding this but its nothing that have not been said before a million times.
