A statistical analysis of 9 of the best Wingers 20 or under across Europe. A THREAD
The Wingers in Question:
1. Hudson Odoi
2. Martinelli
3. Saka
4. Greenwood
5. Ferran Torres
6. Jadon Sancho
7. Rodrygo
8. Vinicius Junior
9. Ansu Fati
Creativity:
In terms of key passes and expected assists per 90, Sancho and Hudson Odoi are clear of the pack. Players such as Martinelli and Greenwood are the least accomplished which is understandable due to their transformation from strikers.
Hudson Odoi comes out on top in getting the ball into the box, with his crossing clear of everyone else. New City signing Torres, Sancho and Rodrygo are 3 who stand out from the rest of the group, who struggle in this aspect. Once again the two previous strikers low in this area.
Now onto creating chances and goals. Once again Sancho and Hudson Odoi are clear of the rest, however Sancho has more of his chances he is involved in converted. Martinelli is very low again, alone this time with zero chances converted. Greenwood does join the average here.
Onto shooting, using xG and xG per shot, to rate the quality of their shooting locations and the quantity of these locations being found. Here Martinelli shows why he is highly rated and his teammate Saka and CHO slump. Once again Sancho is at the top.
Here CHO bounces back, while Vinicius Junior joins the top for the first time with Sancho and CHO. Saka and Greenwood seem to be accomplished dribblers however don’t do it to often. While Martinelli and Fati most often fail, but attempt more dribbles thus completing more.
Overall here we see who comes out on top in terms of getting into positions to get goals and assists, wether they’re converted or not. Saka due to his time at left back doesn’t do too well in xG, and Greenwood, Rodrygo and Martinelli show to be more better scorers than creators
Some things I’ve noticed have been that Martinelli probably should return to the striker position if Lacazette does leave as is rumoured. He doesn’t offer much other than scoring for a winger, but would for a striker.

Sancho is a an all round elite player who united must buy
CHO is severely underrated, his creative and dribbling numbers show that, being top for several. His finishing needs a lot of work tho if he does look to start for Chelsea.

Saka did come low in a few metrics however they were very good numbers for a player who played LB a lot
I can definitely see the question marks around Torres, as he as the eldest I believe wasn’t showing any outstanding characteristics to his game however seems to be well rounded.

Both Real Madrid Brazilians need to improve creativity and Junior seems to be the better of the two
Ansu Fati does look to get quite a few shots off he the quality of where he takes them needs to improve as does his creativity.

Greenwood overall showed to be more well rounded than Martinelli however a move back to striker wouldn’t be a bad idea yet neither would staying at RW
Thanks for reading if you have, took me a while to make but hope you enjoyed, any players I missed or areas I didn’t look at plz reply
