Been thinking about this all day. I think in so many ways with both Patriot Act and his one-man show, @hasanminhaj has set the tone for young South Asians to feel involved politically and socially. It's so hard to explain how much Hasan has been an inspiration for people like me. https://twitter.com/hasanminhaj/status/1295726954751168517
I finished @SopanDeb's book "Missed Translations" last night (great read by the way!) and he mentioned how watching "Homecoming King" was a seminal moment in his decision to explore his background and identity.

It made me feel so good to know that I wasn't the only one.
Watching him in his show "Homecoming King" on Netflix – probably the best thing I've ever watched on Netflix – made me feel like my story mattered, that my parents' and grandparents' story mattered and should be told.

I've never heard it put better than this.
It was a total game-changer to hear a South Asian talk about politics.

I saw around me how it impacted people in my community to be talked to specifically. It got South Asians engaged, and forced them to think about their role in society.

Best example:
I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive @netflix for taking this show off the air. But I know the Hasan Minhaj bump will be felt long after the show ends, and we'll follow him wherever he goes.

Please PLEASE watch Homecoming King on Netflix. It's absolutely incredible.
