Global daily cases are averaging more than 253,000 over the last seven days; the average has, in fact, been over 250,000 cases since July 27th...
As a result, there are now more than 22 million confirmed cases...
We will likely report nearly 25 million cases by the end of the month...
Global deaths remain strong, averaging more than 6,000 deaths per day...
Over the last seven days, a total of 43,664 people died in relation to Covid-19. This is only 6,000 people less than the peak reached in April...
We will cross the 800,000 deaths mark in the next four days...
... and possibly one million by October...
In Asia, the number of daily cases is slowing down in Hong Kong...
... and Japan...
... with India possibly forming a top...
South Korea is seeing a spike in daily cases, forcing the government to implement early measures to contain the spread...

In Europe, the situation is following its path, with daily cases growing as expected...
... with Spain being the (very) hot spot, adding 37,000 cases in the last seven days...
Nevertheless, Germany is also growing at a steady pace...
... as is France...
... and the UK...
Daily deaths remain very low in Europe, with 74 deaths yesterday...
In the US (excluding New York & New Jersey) daily cases continue to decline...
... while the daily deaths seven-day average is just above 1,000...
... adding more than 7,000 deaths in the past seven days...
... bringing the total number of deaths related to Covid-19 in the US to 171,000...
In South America, the daily new cases average is at 77,000...
... and daily deaths at 2,400...
Argentina, even after one hundred and fifty days of lockdown, is not seeing the end of it....
Brazil remains constant, averaging more than 40,000 cases per day...
... as well as 1,000 daily deaths...
Daily cases are slowly ticking up in the Middle East...
... with Iraq being the country adding the most cases per day...
