At Brize we have 2 fleets of aircraft with turbofan engines and 2 with turboprop engines.
@BoeingDefense C-17 Globemaster

The C-17 is powered by 4 @prattandwhitney F117-PW-100 turbofan engines, which are based on the commercial Pratt and Whitney PW2040 used on the @Boeing 757.

Each engine is rated at 40,400lbs of thrust.
@AirbusDefence Voyager A330-200

Powered by 2 @RollsRoyceUK Trent 700. It is a high-bypass turbofan and is the 1st variant of the Trent family.

With its 97.4in fan it produces 71,100lbs of thrust.
@LockheedMartin C-130 Hercules

4 6-bladed @RollsRoyceUK AE 2100 D3 turboprop engines with Dowty R391 composite scimitar propellers, producing 4,637shp each.
@AirbusDefence A400M Atlas

8-bladed scimitar propellers are made from a woven composite material.

Powered by Europrop TP400-D6 engines rated at 11,000shp each.

The TP400-D6 engine is the most powerful turboprop engine in the West to enter operational use.
