The stranger, who happens to be a young gangster, goes to John Wick's house, beats him up, kills the dog and steals the car.
So John Wick makes his mind to take revenge. He goes on a killing spree. He kills the stranger who killed his dog and wipes his entire gang. I have counted, he kills 76 people to avenge the death of his dog.
This movie was a worldwide hit. Till today, three parts are made. People went crazy for all the parts. In fact, in India this movie has a separate fan base. Till now all good.
Now let's change the story a little bit. Let's replace the dog with a calf (young one of cow).
The story wouldn't change. However, this one small change would make a huge difference in the way how people perceive the same movie in India.

Here's what people would have said :
Boycott the film.
John Wick is Sanghi.
Hollywood is promoting Terrorism.
Human life is greater than animals' life.

Now some will say, am saying things that didn't happen. Let me remind you, Kangana Ranaut in her movie Manikarnika, had to replace a scene where she saves a calf with a scene where she saves a lamb.

Love towards a Cow.
Irony: India is a Hindu majority country.
