Let's talk about third-party candidates for President of the United States. A thread. (1/x) https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1295885226061844482
They won't win.
You KNOW they won't win.
Everyone knows YOU KNOW they won't win.
You know everyone knows you know they WON'T WIN.

Picking a third-party candidate is a trade-off: You recuse yourself from the next four years in order to send a message about the world you wished existed.
That's a false choice.
That's a false choice.
In fact, most people step up to the plate and vote for a candidate who could win even if that candidate doesn't represent everything they wish existed.
People who vote for a D or R are not sheep: They are stepping up to the challenge of reality!

You can vote for Joe or Donald *and* also send a message about the world you want to live in. Do both. DO BOTH. Change is hard. Guess what, people who vote for Joe or Donald *also* are working to shape the world. That's life. Cast a real vote. And do real work for the change.
For starters, support the work of @fairvote ( https://www.fairvote.org/ ) and @ElectionScience ( https://electionscience.org/ ) who are working to end the two-party rule by updating election methods.
If you don't like two-party rule, you *can* take meaningful action: support these orgs!
