If you don’t do the census (absent of a valid excuse) you’re really trippin and not doing your civic duty.
Census determines how many reps your state gets, determines how much money your state, county, and city get for gov funded social programs (i.e. WIC), gives the US the OFFICIAL count for population and demographics (minorities are undercounted, whites are over counted)
No gov agency can access Census data EXCEPT the census bureau and it’s made so that data is anonymous. Gov does not care about your living situation, criminal record, immigration status, etc. I know that’s hard to believe, but please fill out the census.
You should fill out the census for the address that you were living at on April 1, 2020. Include infants and children at that address. Help your community secure gov funding and get your voice heard. It takes 5-10 minutes MAX.
