There are some incredible candidates on this list! https://ruf.rice.edu/~wics/  (the list starts midway down the page) https://twitter.com/BAshleyLeeds/status/1296059198204248066
. @Madison_Schramm's award-winning research on international conflict was awarded this year's @APSAtweets Ken Waltz Award, and she just published a super interesting piece on gender and conflict in @SecStudies_Jrnl!
My Columbia colleague @RenanahMiles studies the economic and military tools states use to gain influence abroad. Her dissertation features awesome fieldwork in post-conflict settings, including survey experiments on an incredibly unique sample of Liberian military officers.
. @Sannecjv studies how states develop their military arsenals, exploring why states adopt some technologies and practices, but disregard others. Sanne's work is super interesting, leverages a variety of methodological approaches, and has important policy implications!
I attended @Caroline_Brandt's practice job talk yesterday and learned a ton about why state's pursue peace agreements with rebel groups (check out her dissertation and upcoming @APSAtweets panels to learn more)!
. @sojeonglee22 is a @BtGProjectDC New Era alum whose research focuses on natural resources (and resource-driven conflict). She's also currently the managing editor of @ISQ_Jrnl!
Check out these awesome scholars!
