I think we’re all pretty clear which of the 5 love languages HisoIllu prefer; Hisoka is Physical Touch (of course), and Illumi, out of his immutable and unwavering sense of duty, is sure to have Acts of Services as his
Hisoka is not a shy person. The whole concept of his Nen ability revolves around a substance that can stick to people and pull them closer to him (a lot of the time against their will). He displays and declares his affection proudly and boldly, with raw physical touch
I could also argue that Hisoka’s secondary love language would be Words of Affirmation. He is unafraid of voicing his desires and intentions, especially when it comes to people he admires. (And I am almost certain that he has a praise kink; it fits my fantasy narrative)
Illumi is strictly bound by the chains of duty to his family & occupation. The only way he’s known how to live is by doing acts of service. When it comes to love, I believe he would take his acts of service to the extreme, going above and beyond for the object of his affections
I could also argue that Illumi would be one to present his lover with Gifts (continuation from Acts of Service). He is paid for his jobs with money, so it’s natural for him to believe that to be the natural way of reciprocating an act of service paid to him (another’s affection)
Either way, I doubt that either of these two mongrels would think that Quality Time was even an option. They enjoy each other’s company in ways extend beyond but let’s just leave it at that. Quality Time together is brushed off as merely “professionalism between two colleagues”
