On this historic #KamalaDay, woke up feeling weepy, nostalgic, and reflective of what this means for so many of us + how we got here.

As she accepts the nomination for VP of the US

1st, @KamalaHarris earned this. She's broken barriers at every step. #DNCConvention

Whether as the kid of immigrant parents attending civil rights marches or standing up for unaccompanied minors as AG or fighting #Kavanaugh as Senator, she has only ever worked for one client: #ForThePeople

And, she has a noble servant's heart of gold. #ForThePeople #KHive

& there are a lot of women and people who paved the way for today. There are the obvious ones like Shirley Chisolm, Geraldine Ferraro, and of course: Hillary Clinton.

This wk is also bittersweet thinking of what could've been and the wonderful #POTUS she would be. #ImWithHer

But, as Hillary has said many times, "no one gets through life alone."

There are generations of women and decades of work that went into this moment. Work by the @emilyslist and @EmergeAmerica of the world, and especially the @AnniesListTX helping women see -- they can do it.

And lastly,

Q. Where would we be without the organizers? The @mamas4kamala, the FOs, our ldrs?
A. Nowhere.

Today, especially thinking of all of the relentless, ambitious organizers.

As Kamala says, Let's imagine "what can be, unburned by what has been."
