In sports, a good trainer or coach will criticize you all the time as a method for making you better.
Any good athlete accepts this. Those who couldn’t accept it didn’t make it far in their sport.

So, why so many Black folks can’t accept criticism from anyone — especially other Blacks —these days, to me, betrays a lack of maturity & Mental Toughness.
Some even take personal offense when their fav player/entertainer is criticized; the fan feels the pain through osmosis.

If you put something out publicly — a tweet, YouTube video, book, music, idea — it can be critiqued. You don’t have to agree with the criticism. But everyone is free to express an opinion about your public expression.
You can ignore them if you wish. Or, if mature enough, you can seek the ounce or truth within the criticism from which you might learn & grow.
This is what, as athletes, we had no choice but to do. You’d be off the team if you couldn’t handle strong critiques from the coach.

When you reach the point that you feel you can’t or shouldn’t be criticized, you’re a finished product who can no longer grow.
