During the Monday Night Wars, I worked in HVAC here in NC. We installed heat pumps in new mobile homes. I met all kinds of people from the mid 90s til 2000. I met so many people who were fans, from all walks of life. One rural city had a pro wrestling STORE. (Contd 1/)

This store sold mostly wrestling t shirts and autographed photos, but also had toys and all kinds of licensed merch from back then. Pencils, small cars, notebooks, folders, just about anything you could imagine. People would like up outside waiting on new t shirts (contd 2/)

The stars that people were buying most of, naturally, were Stone Cold, The Rock, nWo, DX, DDP, and more. All these customers were as much fans as I was, some even more so. It was nice to see so many fans together that weren't actually at a wrestling show. (Contd 3/)

The fandom was EVERYWHERE I would go back then. Especially Tuesdays, you could be in a convenience store, a gas station a restaurant, or a movie theater and see MANY wrestling fans wearing their t-shirts. I talked to many complete strangers about wrestling back then (contd 4)

The stars of WCW and WWF were on other TV shows, too. The Rock on Star Trek DS9, HHH on The Drew Carey Show, Bret Hart on Mad TV. It was all cool and it was talked about. Other Sports athletes got involved, Dennis Rodman, Kevin Greene, Karl Malone and Mike Tyson (contd 5/)

Fast forward to today, life is different, wrestling is too. Change happens, good and bad. Now we have conventions where fans and wrestlers can go and make new memories that were impossible to do back then. Well, I hope we can get back to those again. Thanks covid. (Contd 6/)

There's a ton of wrestling you can watch live and relive the past, here in 2020. I hope we can all be fans together and enjoy the parts of this crazy world of pro wrestling.
