So from what I’ve gathered from the #DStvShowcase so far...

So for me, the big game-changer, and what I’m keen on, is this Streama.

It’s basically a Streaming Box that puts streaming platforms (DStv, Showmax and others) into 1 box

I normally stream via my PS4, but this box would let me stream alles, one remote, one plek #DStvShowcase

I think my biggest problem had always been that all my different accounts (DSTV Now, Showmax, Catch-Up etc.) were scattered everywhere. Now with this Streama, I think it means I can get it all in one #DStvShowcase

What’s also interesting now is that you can also directly stream DStv from the net. No decoder, no box, just subscription and stream. Which simplifies sooooo much! #DStvShowcase

Next from the #DStvShowcase, I like the “DSTV Communities” I think it’s called.

So basically DSTV Mara as a stockvel.
My understanding is that me and my friend can pay for our subscriptions as one community. Go swana le Stockvel That’s too tlean

So me and mates can jointly pay for all our subscriptions through one consistent “stockvel” account. No missed payments and all that because re tlo go betha if you make the squad miss the payment #DStvShowcase

The other really interesting thing I’ve seen so far, is the “Explora Ultra”. It’s the new Explora, and it apparently comes with built-in WiFi connection, as well streaming apps of the world and other things.

I’m focused on the Streaming Apps of the world

Like we’ve been crying about streaming apps from the rest of the world that we can’t access like bo Disney+, so now I’m like, is this part of the offering?!
Like DSTV, Showmax, and these other streaming apps of the world?!?! Cause that’s lit. That’s won me over

Speaking of worldwide, they are currently speaking about all the international shows/content DSTV is bringing and I kid you not as I’m watching I’ve counted about 40 or more shows!!!! #DStvShowcase

The show creators I saw (and they were flashing by so fast) But I did see HBO & CBS #DStvShowcase

From a local front the #DStvShowcase mentioned a couple of new shows. I didn’t see what they’re about but I’m interested about the “Shaka Ilembe” story they bringing.

From what Tebogo Mahlatsi spike of, it’s seems as though it’s not a Shaka Zulu remake, nah, it’s a completely Original storyline about the King himself. Which is something I’m intrigued by. What story are they going to tell?! #DStvShowcase

Something that’s I’ve beeeeen crying about is TAKING SOUTH AFRCAN STORIES TO THE WORLD! And they’re currently speaking about an ORIGINALLY South African PRODUCED Story (shot in KZN) and taking it abroad for audiences abroad Yaaa #DStvShowcase

But they are hella mum about the details Mxm

There’s a new show starring Samuel L. Jackson Seems like it’ll be produced in Ghana, and it’s about the interatlantic slave trade Keen #DStvShowcase

2 big announcements apparently coming up #DStvShowcase

Oh shit! Okay so they’re changing up the Supersport Bouquet. They moving away from the channel numbering system, and using what they calling a thematic system #DStvShowcase

So like from 201 - 204, we all knew which sports live there, but finding Tennis, Moto GP, La Liga etc. was a bit harder.

So now all the sports will be found within its thematic group. Tennis one side. Golf one side #DStvShowcase

There’s also what they now call the Supersport “Grandstand” Channel.

Basically, premium curating to put whatever the best match ups of that day are, onto this Main Supersport channel #DStvShowcase

Ooooh shit, okay so the Supersport App will now allow you to curate it according to Fave teams, fave sport, etc. and the App will then continuously feed you the content as per the way you curated it #DStvShowcase

Something cool, the app can now notify you when a goal or something happens during a match/game you’re following but unable to watch.

Then through video, you can watch the replay Tlean #DStvShowcase

Okay here’s more news via “Showmax Pro” - it’ll feature a full footballing offering So Showmax + Football offering (as well as live Athletics) = Showmax Pro Apparently perfect for mobile #DStvShowcase
