Forced migration of minorities provides a useful natural experiment (eg @PMoserEcon @inaganguli @william_r_kerr). In this SI, Ferrucci finds once again positive evidence, showing that this is true also for a more culturally homogenous country, like Germany in the 1990s
Policy wise, there is interest in evaluating the impact of present-day migration flows. Two papers by @emiguelez Noumedem Temgoua, and @dany_bahar @prithwic @HillelRapoport find evidence of diffusion effects not only for host countries, but also for the countries of origin.
The dark side of high-skilled migration lies in its potential brain-drain effect, This is the topic of Fackler Giesing, and Laurentsyeva, who explore the effect of “knowledge remittances”.
.
Trown, @afaggian Corcoran studies an Australian skilled visa programme and find a positive impact on regional innovation.

Khan and MacGarvie show how impactful any delay in obtaining permanent residency status is on the stay rates of Chinese and Indian PhD graduates in the US
MNEs stand out, especially in the high-tech sector, among the largest employers of migrant students, and high skilled migrants in general.
Innovation scholars in this special issue study how MNEs organize and take advantage of the knowledge produced.
Marino, @RMInnovation , @AlessandraPerri and Scalera analyze how the migrant inventors working for MNEs help their employers to appropriate the knowledge generated by their affiliates in the migrants’ home countries.
@Keld_Laursen, Leten, Nguyen and Vancauteren discuss to what extent high-skilled migrant employees appear to be more innovative than native ones.

In both papers, management practices play a central role
