Everyone is thinking that Lou is free because he is out of Syco. But friendly reminder that Syco was already for 75% in hold of Sony. Lou is still signed to Arista, part of Sony. H is signed to Columbia, part of Sony..
That Mr. Cowell is out of the picture doesn’t mean that all of a sudden Sony is one big accepting and happy place to be.. that Sony is trying to put the blame of Simon doesn’t mean that they are free of guilt..
Because don’t forget that there were several artists in the closet or in battles while signed under Sony.. accusing Sony of homophobia, professional slavery and being discouraged to come out because it would cost them their career..

Most well known story: George Michael..
But also Michael Jackson, who found out that Sony was playing a dirty game.. and later on in 2018.. it became known that Sony sold Michaels records recorded by impersonators without people knowing that..
Justin Tranter, signed under Epic.. part of Sony.. about how he was told to be less gay..
Jaimy Hensley about how he had to educate Sony on how to treat gay artists..
We all know how Mark Feehily didn’t came out because he got told that it would be the end of his career and the end of the band..
Ricky Martin who was sold as an sex symbol for young woman also stayed in the closet because it would be bad for his career to come out as a gay man..

George Shelley telling how they were products to young teenage girls because that was their market. That he couldn’t come out as gay because he couldn’t jeopardise the future of the band..
This industry is awful.. homophobic.. it’s all about the money. Not only Simon Cowell.. every recordlabel will always look at their own best interests before they look at the artists best interests. So don’t expect a big change at this point of their careers..
