Ok, before I smash the bottom mug to save the top one, any ideas how to unstick these two? I've tried oiling them, putting ice in the top one while soaking the bottom one in hot water but still stuck. The problem is the top one has a rim round the base & won't budge. #homehacks

Right, I have an update on the stuck mug crisis. Plan 1. A friend suggested trying to fill the bottom one with water& freezing it so the ice expands & pushes it up. Its in a deep bucket as it's so tight that it needs a weight of water above & is still taking ages to fill. 1/2
2/2 Plan 2 is to seal the join between the two mugs with flour and water paste and heat them so the air in the bottom one expands and pops it up (or maybe explodes it đŸ˜±)
