The Barnsley Museums #2020Challenge A THREAD

January - walking home from a new years party full of hope and optimism for the year ahead...

(the donors of these shoes have fond memories of walking home from nights out in these!)
#LoveCulture #EnjoySummerSafely
February – We’re washing our hands a lot while singing happy birthday

(pit head bath soap and some less than appealing 1940s soap)
March – Lockdown begins. We’re spending more of our time indoors watching Tiger King and working out with Joe Wicks #lockdown #LockdownUk
April – We had #EasterAtHome and like everyone else we took up baking with @Worsbrough_Mill flour. Obviously.
#WellMeetAgain
May - Our #LockdownHairdos are getting out of control! It’s time we trimmed our own hair (and vow to give our hairdresser a generous tip in future)
June – We’re now bored of Zoom quizzes so we hunt out some other games as well as taking part in the @CooperBarnsley daily #MuseumJigsaws challenge
July – We’re wearing face coverings in more public places. It was also the finale to the brilliant #CuratorBattle although our creepy dolls live on… #MuseumMask #2020Challenge
August – We’re putting our passports away and planning #Staycations including lots of virtual ones http://www.barnsley-museums.com/join-us-digitally #EnjoySummerSafely
September – Our phased re-openings continue & by September all our venues will be open! All the dates and details are on our website http://www.barnsley-museums.com/the-re-opening-of-barnsley-museums This includes @EBMuseum on 5 September #WellMeetAgain #EnjoySummerSafely #LoveCultureWeek
