The very basic of jyotish states about the tatva of grah . Chandra and shukra are jala; surya, mangal, ketu are agni; shani and Rahu are vayu; buddha is prithvi and guru is akash tatva.
Panchang states that tithi represent jala in the chart. Tithi governs our relationships.
Agni trikona (dharma trikona) have exaltation of surya only. Whereas jala trikona (moksha trikona)have exaltation of shukra and guru with debilitn of chandra. Vayu/ Kaam trikona have exaltation of shani only while artha have exaltation of chandra ,mangal and buddha.
The exaltation/debilitn of a grah in a particular trikona indicates which planet can actually make/mar that trikona. Without understanding tatva and grah , we can never understand the intricate meaning conveyed to us by the rishis.
I absolutely agree with @shashankupadhy_ that if wisdom can be found in books, all the librarians will be knowledgeable. Perfectly said . Modern day varahamihiras reject the wisdom of seers and postulate their own theories. Sorry state of affairs indeed 😀🙏
To add further - sukha of lagna/ self is 4th - hridya/ bhavna ; sukha of pancham (mantra/Purva punya/ bhavishya) is in 8th ( transformation ) , sukha of 9th( dharma ) is in 12th ( mukti ). There is more to a matter than just single word philosophy.
